EPro8 Internal Series

The EPro8 Challenge starts with a series of events and programmes that teachers run within their own school. The programme is designed so that all year 5/6 and year 7/8 students can have an introductory session.

Note: The internal series is not required for secondary schools. Secondary schools can enter four teams directly into the Year 9-10 and year 11-13 inter-school heats.

New for 2024 - EPro8 Internal Series

We have expanded the EPro8 Internal Programme so now all your students can take part, at little or no extra cost.

Each class will run an EPro8 Classroom Event, with the top teams from each class going on to the EPro8 School Final.

Schools will run a seperate EPro8 Internal Series for their year 5-6 students and year 7-8 students.

EPro8 Classroom Event

This is a basic introductory challenge designed so that all students can achieve some success. All students will attempt the same challenge.

Each classroom will have access to the loan equipment for half a day.

EPro8 School Final

This event consists of three challenges. It is the same format as the EPro8 Internal Event used in 2022 and 2023.

The standard EPro8 Internal Series package includes:

Loan of six sets of EPro8 Construction Equipment for two days
TWO EPro8 Classroom Events (to be run on the first day)
ONE EPro8 School Final (to be run on the second day)
Challenge Cards (one per team)
Teacher's Instructions
Access to the EPro8 Live Scoring System, including the leaderboard and big red buttons
Certificates for the top three teams at the EPro8 School Final.

Additonal EPro8 Classroom Events (ie more than the two in the standard package) can be added. These include an extra half a day with the loan equipment.

So if you have five classrooms taking part, that will be an extra three classrooms, so you will have the loan equipment for 2 days + 3 x 0.5 days = 3.5 days.

The top two teams from each EPro8 Internal Series qualify for the EPro8 Inter-School Events.

Classroom Lot of Equipment

We will loan you an additional six sets of EPro8 School Equipment. If your school already owns one set of EPro8 Construction Equipment, you will now have seven teams (28 students) to take part in each EPro8 Classroom Event.

The duration of the loan of the extra equipment depends on how many classrooms take part. Each classroom will have access to the loan equipment for half a day, plus an extra day for the EPro8 School Final.

In order to keep the price down, delivery of the equipment is not included. You may need to collect the equipment from a nearby school (typically this would be less than 10km away).

For schools that already own four or more sets EPro8 Construction Equipment then the EPro8 Internal Series is provided at a reduced price (as this option does not include loan of extra equipment). Please contact us for this details of this discounted pricing.

Cost

The EPro8 Internal Series package is $360 incl GST and includes:

Loan of six sets of EPro8 Construction Equipment for two days
TWO EPro8 Classroom Events (to be run on the first day)
ONE EPro8 School Final (to be run on the second day)

Additonal EPro8 Classroom Events are $60 incl GST, and this includes an extra half a day with the equipment.

So if your school has five classrooms, then the total cost is $360 + 3 x $60 = $540.

This cost does not include the entry fee for any teams that qualify for the EPro8 Inter-School Series.
